A Trade!!!

To my shock and amazement I was actually able to take a trade today! The move ended up pausing at the highs and backfilling to take me out at par but as you can see... right idea.

So that's really all there is to report. Conditions were very nice today and I can't complain one bit. Solid trends, nice pullbacks, and lots of 'close but no cigar' setups. I took the one textbook setup that came along, managed it perfectly and took the exit my rules dictated. I can't ask for (or do) anything more than that.

As a side note to my fellow traders, a friendly reminder that rollover is coming in the next couple of days depending on which instruments you're trading... Keep an eye on the volume transition between front month and current month so you stay on the right contract!

Trade Results:
1 Trade, 1 Par
Gross P/L: $12.50/per

Thanks for the heads-up Matt. It always seems to slip my mind about rollover.

TST - lol

You used to be able to (thats exactly what I did and why I did it) but they recently must've changed that (though they claim that they never provided futures data to non-futures clients).

So you have to pay 25.00/month for "demo data". Still is a hell of a lot cheaper than any other place if you don't want to have to open up a full 2-5k futures account for data access somewhere.

That or just keep requesting demos from different emails I suppose. :)

Matt,

LOL, We need to 'cut cost' profits run.

I asked OEC onlinehelp, yeap, they said " NO ":-).

You mean I can pay 25/month to 'live data' like Sierra Chart after initial opening of 250 mini-fx ?. if yes, can you give me a contact at OEC ( or to my email bwasi@yahoo.com ).

I've never used sierra charts but I guess it would be similar. As far as I know you don't need to open up a funded account with them if you just want monthly "demo data".

I've always dealt with Chris @ OEC ( cmicciche@openecry.com ) and hes always taken care of my questions and support issues.

You can either give them a call or online chat with support to get them to help you set that up. Just tell them you'd like to do the 25.00/data+platform package.

Cheers!
